I've been running my 38 Open w/Cummins's 6CTA Diamonds at 2200 for more than 15 years with no problems... I change my oil yearly (approx 120 hr/yr) and haven't had to add oil very often. Maybe twice over the 15 years. Prior to yearly oil change they may be down 1/2 qt or so.
