Good to hear someone else had this question ! I have an '86 36 Open and that platform is almost in the water when I fill with fuel. I have 2, 200 gallon tanks....diesel fuel for CAT 3126's. The edges of the platform skim the water when cruising but all seems to be OK. I've never seen a platform so close to the water but what we do like is that it's easy to get back on it when swimming.
