I know this is an old thread but I just purchased a boat with this setup.  I had a great trip home but had to winterize it when I got back to port since it was getting cold at night.  I am installing EGT sensors and am looking for any information I can get to understand the best way to run the engines.  Looking for engine reliability as the priority followed by economy.  
Do you mind providing some information on how you run the boat?  Did you ever get your range questions answered?
