Be well prepared when delivering a boat, new or used, that will be your first long trip. I suggest you bring extra fuel filters, a handheld GPS and VHF with extra batteries, paper charts with waypoints marked and duct tape. It seems I always need duct tape on a delivery. I assume you have all the CG requirements, flares and PFD's. Don't let the excitement of a new boat impair your judgment. Safety first especially when you say the temps will be 34 degrees. File a float plan with friends. Capt. George
