Totally agree, safety first. Got my tool bag packed with extra filters, charts, duck tape, safety gear... Wife is following us down by car. First leg about 40 miles, then we clear US Customs. Will play it by hear from there. Fully prepared to leave the boat at several marinas along he route if weather, equipment issues develop. I'd like to think that I've planned well but you can never be too ready. Won't take any foolish chances. Looks like temps are actually improving for the trip. Thanks for the advise.
