Welcome to the forum, I'm sorry this is so late compared to your post! Life seems to get in the way sometimes. I own a 3800 Open and absolutely love her. When we were looking for a Tiara, we were coming from a SeaRay 330 Sundancer, which we lost to Harvey. I knew I wanted a better built boat and Tiara was on my list and they never disappointed, even if some of the ones I looked at did, only because the owner didn't take care of them.
Originally, I was looking at 33's and 35's. I really liked the 3500 Open. Beautiful lines, good quality and B series Cummins. After looking at a couple, I realized for only a little more money would put me in a 3800, which was larger, and came with C series Cummins. The rest is history as they say!
I very often run her by myself. She is easy to handle, departing, docking and overall driving. She has plenty of power and I love th extra room over all of the boat, over the boat. I take her offshore fishing (85 miles is the farthest so far) and do a LOT of cruising in her. She is well suited for both and my wife and I enjoy her for small get aways.
I would happily answer any questions you may have, just ask away!
