The advertised draft of a Tiara 4000 Express is 4'0". The CAT Engines and the Cummins engines offered in this boat were similar in weight, so draft should be very similar between the two. This is on all the literature that Tiara ever printed for the 4000 Express. I can tell you this, Tiara always over estimated the drafts. Tiara usually measure the draft 100% full (water, fuel, waste, people and gear) and then added and inch or two. My guess is the actual draft of Tiara 4000 Express is likely 3'10" or so fully laden.
Now, you say you have a 4000, but you fail to mention if it is a 4000 Express (Twin Inboards), or a 4000 Sovran (Twin Volvo IPS Drives). The advertised draft of Tiara 4000 Sovran is 3' 7". Again, this is measured fully laden with likely an inch or two of safety cushion.
As with all draft measurements, they are done so static. This means the boat is sitting in the water and not moving. The second you put the boat in forward gear, the transom is going to dip down and the draft will increase. How much of an increase depends on a whole host of things such as engine idle RPM, Transmission gear ratio, propeller size, vessel beam, length and current loading. My guess for a 4000 Express in gear at idle is going to be about 2 - 3 inches of increased draft. As you power up, that will increase several more inches up until the hull begins to plane at which time it will decrease.
Hope that info helps.
