Be careful drilling into the overhead, you don't want to go thru the top layer. If you feel around you can find blocks of wood glassed to the top shell. Only drill into these blocks and carefully set your drill depth with tape on the drill. I mounted a teak board to the overhead and put the rod holders on the board.
