I think the speed of melting depends on the material and the quality of the storage bin. The ice maker I bought has a nice storage container, and the ice cubes maintain for a quite long time. Also It doesn’t really require significantly more than occasional cleaning, which ensures these devices runs smoothly. It’s also a great idea to go with a special cleaner that is made for ice machines occasionally. The ice scoop also need to be cleaned periodically.
