Hi,

I don't have experience with the F44, but do have a Sovran 44' with straight Cummins QSM-11 660 HP. The boat is on the East End of Long Island and we frequently cruise the North East up thru Boston. The boat does have a bow thruster, but it is very rarely used, the boat handles EXCELLENT in close quarters. There are some very good deals on used Sovran 44's if you are looking to go that route.
