Hello, just sold my ‘88 Ocean Alexander 42. Looking at a 2004 42 Open with QSM 11s. Cruise half the time and fish the other half.
How slow do the QSMs go at idle? Are trolling valves an add-on option with these engines?

Not sure about the 42 with QSM 11's but I own a 2003 38 Open w/Cummins 6CTA's... Trolling valves were an option on my boat and I wish the original owner purchased them as trolling with both in gear at idle is to fast under most circumstances. Usually troll with one in gear and the other in neutral (running). Boat tracks well even with one engine and auto pilot seems to hold course as well... M2C
