ONo offense taken...no, I have not taken a boat handling course. I traded in an Edgewater 262 w Optimus but I am a novice. I hired a Capt to teach me the ropes w the Edgewater and spent about 30 hours w him.
I plan on time w him again when I get the Tiara

As a captain myself.....I have been running boats since age 4.  I cant urge you enough to take a USCG boating course #1. #2 dont be afraid to hire a capt again to do on the boat training.  To much money to mess up.....  Good luck, dont hesitate to reach out.  Be safe.

The 38LS is very easy to operate and very predictable. The joystick combined with the bow thrust make docking dead easy. Congrats!

Actually, BugBoatBen, prior to pulling the trigger on the 38LS I watched several of your YouTube videos on the 38LS and also on the Helm Master joy stick. They were very helpful to me. Thank you

Interesting ! We have a new 38LS for delivery in April 2024 also ? We always had larger yachts with cabins and large swim platforms
to swim and enjoy the water. I hope this is what we really want and don't regret this open type of boat.
