I own a 2003 38 Open and the antenna on the boat looks very similar.. See attachments. Not sure why you want to change the antenna as it supports Digital Over the Air TV. I upgraded my TV's several years ago w/LCD's and I get very good reception on over the air digital channels. On the 38 there is a power supply supporting the antenna located behind the shore power panel ... Hope this helps..

I have the exact same antenna and it has a label "Interceptor TV/FM Antenna" and a West Marine label.  I would start there and also look at Shakespeare Antennas.

If the TV is old it most likely doesn't support "over the air digital signals (TV channels)..... There was a change to all TV transmissions over the air several years ago. You most likely need a TV that supports digital signals.. An alternative is to get a digital (new TV signal) to analog (old TV transmission signals) converter. I would Op for a new TV. They are cheap enough

don't forget the signal going out now is a digital signal, so you need a digital antenna.  Now if you haven't upgraded your TV's, you'll have a problem.  You can solve it one of 2 ways, go buy digital TV's , or go buy convertors for the Antenna, which will change the digital TV signal to analog.  That's the route I took, and I bought a couple off ebay rather cheaply, and run off 12 volt power like my tv.  That said, I think I should have upgraded my TV's !!  The digital signal is much better.

My 2003 38 Open antenna that came from Tiara supported both Analog and Digital over the air signals. See my original post above as it contains 2 attachements regarding the antenna itself.. I would get a new TV that supports digital signals and if it works then you don't have to switch antennas.. A boat several slips over used the antenna that came with his boat as well and the boat is a 1980 Silverton. Only change made was the TV.. M2C

We have the same antenna on our 2004 3200 open. We replaced the Sharp analog tv with a Majestic that was an exact match with the teak opening. Looks factory original and works with the original antenna. Majestic specializes in 12 volt marine and RV tvs.

Looks like a Glomex. Just installed one. They work fantastic for digital over the air, HD TV.

I have a 2006 36 Sovran with the same antenna. It is a Triax UFO 150. [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] I do not think that are available anymore. It works for both analog and digital TV signals. I upgraded the Majestic analog TVs to Jensen LED digital TVs.
