Thanks again Maxwell. I certainly appreciate your sentiments and conventional wisdom is aligned with your thoughts.
I think there is definitely a concern around a tiara open being able to run somewhat efficiently in the 10-15 knot range since it certainly seems like they are designed to run faster (20-30 knot range). I do think he likes the idea of being able to run faster at certain times.
As for the express vs trawler/other, the good news is they will likely be able to get covered moorage pretty quickly and the specific 3500 they are looking at has a fully enclosed, with nice eisenglass/poly windows, rear cockpit. It is kind of funny because it makes an Open, not open.
