Hi all,
I have recently purchased a 32 Open, located in Maryland, and need to get it shipped to Michigan. Does anyone know of a reliable boat transport company? It makes me nervous not knowing the history of a carrier. I would also like to be sure they have the proper equipment, insurance, etc., so the boat doesn't get damaged. (One carrier says the radar and props have to come off, another says no.) Should I try to use the company that moves the Tiara's from the factory to dealers? Any other advise related to the move would be appreciated?
There are different types of trailers for hauling boats. Specialized hydraulic boat trailers have the ability to drop the boat very close to the ground which may allow things like radar to stay. A normal flat bed trailer may set the boat up higher requiring the removal of the props and electronics antennas.
Here is a company I have used several times and they are always professional and seem to know what they are doing.

I would call Tiara and see if they have any factory deliveries headed to the mid atlantic and cut a deal with the transporter for the return trip so he's not going back empty. Should be able to get a better deal and he will know what he is doing.
I just had this guy move my 3000 open. Props on, open array radar removed. Very professional. Carries allot of Tiara's
