Hi - When I tilt the helm back on my 97 31 Open there is what appears to be a "gasket" on the back wall where the helm sits when closed. Does anyone know what this is made of? It is deteriorating and just makes a mess that I clean everytime I open the helm. It appears to be the same material used as a gasket on the transom door.
