Bilge drains
#1
Have a 1997 33 open. Does anyone know if this model has a bilge drain on the bulkhead forward of the fuel tank? I have diesels but I don't think that should matter. The water never seems to make it to the rear of the boat from the mid section of the boat. Can not easily see back there from between the engines.

The engine trays do not drain into the main bilge areas. This is done so that if you develop an oil leak, the oil does not migrate to the center bilges get pumped overboard initiating huge fines. The center bilge between the engines should however drain rearward through a bulkhead pass-through, unless it is blocked by debris. You should also have a bilge pump in the aft section of the engine room as well.
