Just a learning to share with others.  We store our boat for hurricane season in a climate controlled building in FL. This year she was in storage 7 months.  Upon launch sea trial, both engines overheated.  Diagnosed as simple stuck thermostats and upon replacing t-stats all is well.  The watch out here is the quality of the CAT thermostats.  Two of four new CAT Parts thermostats were defective right out of the package!  Be sure to test t-stats in hot water for proper opening before installing!  CAT says they know this has been an issue and apparently has been working with their supplier.  Save yourself lots of potential unnecessary labor and test them before installing!
