Ohio sailor loses battle with cancer

Richard Schneider, a sailor who won US Sailing’s Arthur B. Hanson Rescue Medal, died Nov. 26 after recently being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. He was 79. Schneider was a race committee contributor for the Edgewater Yacht Club in Cleveland.
