Boat is a 1988 31' Open. Old owner had a roll of 5/16" that looks like he was using, but my online research is saying 1/4" GFO. Anyone know which is correct? When opened up pulled out 2 piece from each.
Thanks
Capt. Ryan

While I don't know the answer, my first guess would have been 1/4"

Don't use Flax packing, that's old school. Use the 1/4" GFO brand. It lasts forever and only needs an adjustment after the initial 2 hour run. Then it stays drip free. You will have problems with the dust in your bilge. Capt. George
