Can someone tell me where do I find the pads to fit over the dinette in order to make it into a bed. Thanks.

I have a 36 Sovran and the filler pad is the forward dinette seat back

Thanks. I'll have to take another look. I tried them all, although I had a few cocktails prior to.

Scott,

What model do you have? I remember on the Plan B 3500 Express, there was a compartment behind the dinette seat back that held the table conversion cushions. As JhHall mentioned, sometimes the backrest cushions are the table cushions (2900 Open and 3600 Sovran come to mind for that set up). Most are just separate cushions stored in a locker or below the master berth.

Let me know what model Tiara you have and I'll see if I can narrow it down for you.

interesting since i just used mine for the first time 2 nights in a row. an older couple who stayed with me on my 31 (their last boat was a 60 bertram), said it was comfortable. I have 2 pads that fit over the table, not perfectly but they said it was fine. i think if i use it again though, ill put a towel or something over the table in case it scratches from the pads. it seemed fine.

a bit OT, but i dont actually have a fwd bed filler on the port side. be nice to have but i dont even have the rail on the bed to prop it.

thanks

Persistence,

Yes, the fwd berth filler for a 31 was an option. If it was not ordered, it won't have the rails. You could have one made easy enough if you really want it. The rails were made of wood and the cushion has a hard bottom, Formica covered plywood.

The original dinette sleeper cushion would have had a non slip pad sewn under the cushion. It is almost like shelf liner to keep the cushion from moving around and keep it from scratching the table.

Is this the same for a 1995 4000 express?
I'm buying one next week and was trying to figure it out - the broker even said that the table does not turn into a bed. ... which does not make sense to me.

Did you get a cushion for the table to use as an insert?  If not let me know at dlhst50@hotmail.com.  We had one made for ours and may not need it now.  Our plan was to put the nonskid cabinet material under as was described earlier in the thread.

I have a 2002 31 Open. My dinette filler cushions were in the storage locker under the Vbirth. Also, we bought one of those mattress toppers and cut it to fit the dinette. When going away for a weekend we put that over the top of the cushions on the dinette. Extremely comfortable.
