Have a 2007 3000 open. I cannot find a holding tank monitor. Only the red light in Bath room, with do not flush when on.
I have a fresh water monitor under stairs by breaker's.
Maybe I don't have a holding tank monitor.
?? how full is tank when red light comes on?

Ok, when your red light come on in the head, the tank is full! If you flush with the tank full, you run the risk of inverting the one way valves (Duckbill) valves. Once you invert the valves, you have to pull the whole system apart and repair or replace the valves. I do not recommend this job to my worst enemies! If you do overflow the waste system, you will have to replace the charcoal vent filter for the waste tank. This filter is designed to keep odors from escaping your tank. If it gets wet, the filter will no longer work and the area around your boat will begin to smell like an open sewer (especially when someone flushes the toilet).

Does your water level monitor have a waste button on it? Newer Tiaras use a light system. Green light for waste is empty. Green light for water is full. No lights means either 1/4 full for waste or 3/4 full for water. Orange is half full for both and Red is full for waste or empty for water. 2006/2007/2008 was around the time Tiara switched from the Weema gauge to the lighting system. The gauges on most Tiaras served dual purpose, both water and waste with two buttons at the bottom of the gauge (waste/water).

I suppose it is possible Tiara did not install a waste gauge on the 30. I can't remember and I don't have a 30 nearby to go check.

Let us know what you find out. Your waste tank should be in the engine room and it should be white poly. You should be able to look through it and see the level. If you don't have a gauge, a visual on the tank is going to be your only way to tell tank level. My suggestion is to keep it empty as much as you can. Make sure to add chemicals or the waste will eventually permeate the waste hoses and your boat will begin to smell. The only way to cure this is to replace the waste lines.

Very good points, I purchased a Crusiers 3870 yacht with plugged charcoal filter. What I pain that was. had to replace filter and waste hoses.
Will go check lights tomorrow.
I push a button and the breaker panel and the round gauge shows fresh water level with a needle. But to the right hand side of the gauge it shows a picture of the toilet. Must do both.

If you have a gauge and the picture of a toilet next to it, then it must do both. Take a good look at it and I'm sure you will figure it out.

hi, i have a '94 31' and i cant find any monitoring at all. i dont even have a fresh water level indicator other than looking at the tank. i am learning the boat and hasnt really been an issue. but would be a nice to have. thanks
