I'm in the process of installing 2 furuno 12" tzt2 unit at the helm, i have made a template which I'm going to have a machine shop burn out a trim panel so it looks similar to factory, and then I would like to paint/powered coat it to match the dark blue of the helm. Does anyone know what the color is ?  Or what a matching paint code would be ?

Probably what tiara calls flag blue. I bet if you emailed the company they could get you a color code for it.

Keep in mind that it has likely faded etc since 2003. You're probably best off cutting a small piece out (that will be covered by new plate) and having your paint shop color match it...

might be worth a quick call to Tiara. They used to use Awlgrip colors for arches, frames, etc. which closely matched gel colors. Flag Blue is a common Awlgrip color and is a good bet if your dash is dark blue. If it is a custom color Tiara will more than likely give you the Color code or part number if matched to an Awgrip custom color (awl mix). You can also get a color card from Awlgrip and see if it matches. A good powder coat shop may be able to match the color card as well.
