Hi Chris... Do you know what size props were originally spec'd for the 2002 38 Open with 450 Cummins? Previous owner dinged one prop and I am getting about 100 turns less than I should at WOT. Boat getting hauled soon for bottom job, and want to get the props tuned up then.

The original props were Federal 24x28 (3-blade)- HX300 #7 Cup Nibral. If you added a tower or you tow a larger tender, you may want to consider going to a 4-bladed prop otherwise the 3 blades are most efficient.

The 450 Cummins were rated at 2600 WOT. Full load you should be able to reach 2650 and light load 2700 (clean fuel, clean bottom, engines running properly with good injectors and Turbos).
