My wife and I are experienced blue water cruisers who started in the early 1980's with a trimaran located in the Caribbean.
We graduated to power in 2005 and have driven several yachts mostly along the East Coast from Maine to Trinidad. I have an
accepted offer to purchase a 2015 Tiara 50 Coupe for use in New England. This will be a new type of boat for us. Our planned use is to cruise from Long Island Sound to Nova Scotia with our 2 dogs, both experienced boat pups.
New England's short, steep chop is different from the long swells found in the Caribbean. Any insight into the Tiara's hull and handling characteristics will be greatly appreciated.
