I finally bit the bullet and purchased new electronics for my 2002 3100 open. So I me running all of the wire for the radar, GPS, and Transducer. I made a lot of progress this weekend removing all of the old Raymarine stuff. I am trying to find the other side of the rigging tube behind the helm. It does not come out in the engine room. So my guess is I have to pull the electrical panel to get at that area. Can someone confirm that?

I installed all the electronics on my previously owned 1997 31 Open in 1997 and from what I remember I removed the drink holder on the starboard side by the helm to help run the wires... Additionally, I removed an access plate, the speaker, and 2 access plates (on the radar arch) on the starboard side and ran a wire chase down the leg of the radar arch. It was some what a challenge but got it done.... M2C

Thanks. I have gotten all of that done already. Almost to the letter of what you described. How did you get from the side panel on the starboard side around the corner and down to the tube in the floor to get the wires up behind the helm?

Don't remember completely but thought there was an access panel on the starboard side behind the steering station that gave access to the back of the helm. Don't remember having to come up via a tube from the engine room to the rear of the helm station... Thought I drilled a hole behind the helm station.. It's been 20+ years since I did it.. Sorry.....
