hi i own an 1987 31 open. i believe the thru hull to my head is leaking water into my bilge. the reason i believe this is because i eliminated the engine compartment and the rudder area. the problem i have is finding acces to this. i have a wood floor with a fiberglass floor in the bathroom. boat is in water. could anyone give me advice on how to check this area to confirm this. thanks marti

Spray the thru-hull with the dock water hose and see if the water in the bilge increases. You could even use a garden sprayer with a little food coloring in the water and look for the color in the bilge.
