Hi Everyone,
I have a 1993 36' Tiara Convertible with CAT 3208TA engines. I love my boat and want to keep it in great (Bristol) condition. So anyone with the same boat please feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
Bob Liles
Bob - Here are some things you need to look at on the 36 convertible. The latch on the anchor locker hatch is cut into the balsa core. Remove it and waterproof the area before rot sets in. The wire way opening on the port side under the helm console has a wooden piece to direct deck water aft. It will rot out and cause water stains on the ceiling valance over the cabin circuit breaker panel. Change it out with a piece of PVC well caulked with 5200. The side windows will leak at the forward most point when the caulking gives out. Take out the forward wood screws, recaulk the seam with 5200 and replace the lower forward screw with a machine screw and ny-loc nut and washer. It requires some disassembly on the cabin side. All these jobs are quite easy, just time consuming. The rest of the boat is bullet proof. Capt. George
