I have one on my boat. It is a good head unit but I don't like the way they have the Sirius satellite radio set up. I have to have my Garmin displays on and can only change. The station on the displays, not the head unit. It may have something to do with the weather portion of the setup, I am not sure. Maybe if I only used it for music I may have been able to hook it direct..

so i was at the boat show here in michigan yesterday, i love the fusion and thats what i wanna get, i have a old clarion in there now, have a question, i have a garmin 7612 mfd with radar, would i have to install a seperat antenna on my hard top in order to recieve the xm signal or can xm radio be recieved thru my garmin and therefore wouldnt need a seperate antenna installed on top??

The head unit is Sirius ready but will still need an antenna. Just like for FM/AM you gotta have an antenna. Mine is hooked into the NMEA2000 network so I can have the weather overlays on my plotters. Because of that I have to operate the channel selection from one of the displays. If I wasn't using the weather I could have purchased a cheaper antenna and hooked it directly to the head unit and run it from there.
It is worth getting the external XM antenna so you can have live weather
My 2cents. I have it on my tiara both the 38’ open I had and now the 47’ I just got. It’s awesome
