I had similar issues with the gauge always reading zero. I pulled the waste tank sensor, cleaned it and replaced... Still didn't read correctly. Checked all connections which were fine.. Out of desperation I tapped the gauge while holding the switch down. It worked and the gauge showed the waste tank level... Need to understand that the sensor in the tank doesn't go all the way to the bottom. It only goes down 8" which leaves 4" below the sensor that isn't read by the gauge... My tank is 12" deep and the sensor only goes down 8"... BTW same with the fresh water reading.. Sensor goes down within 4" of the bottom so the last 4" isn't shown by the gauge either...M2C
I have a 2006 Sovran 36 and had a similar issue. My system was made by Fireboy. Fireboy has discontinued their waste and water sensor products. They did have inventory of both sensors last summer. I bought 2 sets to make sure I had backups. If yours is Fireboy I would contact them to see if they have your sensors still.
