I have a 2000 Tiara 3500 Open with a Maxwell windlass that works great. I want to replace the anchor, chain and rode, but during a quick inspection I could only see the serial number out the outside of the windlass. Does anyone know which model Maxwell would have been installed back in 2000? I emailed Tiara but have gotten no response.

ON the Maxwell unit itself there is a number where the crank handle goes. That number, I believe will be a 600 or 800. That's the model number. On my 38 Open its a Maxwell 800....M2C

Okay thanks. I'll look but I didn't see a number jump out at me. Even with the number, how do I determine which chain wheel is installed? I believe it's 5/8" 8 plait with 5/16" chain, but I want to verify before ordering a whole new setup. The stamp on the chain only tells me it's G4, not the size. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.

I wanted to send a thanks. I have a 2000 Tiara 4000 Express and parts within the Maxwell chainwheel broke so I can't pull in the rhode.
I was able to look at location where the crank handle fits and find I have an 800 series windlass (Maxwell RC800). Just ordered a replacement chainwheel - so hopefully next step is it's an easy replacement/repair.
