Transom Chocks
#1
The transom chocks on my 1995 43 open are pitted to the point where they need to be resurfaced. I figured removing the 8 screws on each chock would be a simple enough job but it is turning out to be a bit more troublesome than I had bargained for.

So far I've started on the port side chock and have stripped the silicon seal between the two pieces and have 4 of the 8 screws removed. The other 4 will spin and are loose but will not back all the way out regardless of every prying method I've tried. Not knowing what the inside of the two chock pieces looks like is leaving me stumped with what the threads could be getting hung up on. Even with the silicon stripped and screws loosened, I am not able to get any wiggle or movement with the two pieces.

Does anyone have recommendations or advice on how to get these two piece chocks disassembled?
