Adding Engine Hatch Switch
#1
‘99 4000 owner here. For those of you familiar with the boat, you’ll know what I mean when I say the engine hatch set-up is awkward. I like having it open from time to time for some additional head room, but maneuvering on deck or raising/lowering is a pain. Lots of gymnastics.

So what I was thinking of doing was adding a duplicate switch down in the engine room. That way I can raise it when I’m down below for some space, but lower it before I may need to go back up on deck.

Any reason this is any more complicated than taking a switch (I have a mom on/off/mom on) and pigtailing from the existing switch on deck?
