Garmin VHF and 741XS not getting power to come on.

Recent install by Electronic vendor in May and has been working fine. Now no power to electronics. ACC switch seems to work and ACC breaker shows no problem.

Just wanted to ask the group where I should be looking before I call Electronic vendor that installed equipment. I pulled the helm box open and could not see any issues.

I thought it may be something simple. Any thoughts?

Advice on Windlass solenoid worked out from the group. Big thanks....saved a few hundred.

Having fun on the Chesapeake Bay this summer in first Boat. Life is Good!

One step at a time.
Put ALL your DC circuit breakers on at the Main DC panel and see if things work.
Are your MAIN disconnect (big red rotary) switches on?
Turn the VHF power switch on and cycle all your dash switches and see if the VHF comes on.
If you have little rubber circuit breakers on the dash see if one popped up.
You now need a voltmeter with a 20 volt scale set to DC volts.
Follow the VHF power line back to where it's attached to a bus bar, switch or fuse and check the fuse.
Put the black lead on the black wire and the red lead on the red wire.
You should see over 12 volts.
Let us know the results.
The Marine Tech should warranty his work for over 30 days.

Electronics not working appeared to be a wire not crimped tight. Installer of electronics came out to the boat checked on systems and repaired for no fee. BOE Marine in Annapolis area was service company. Quick response time.
