cooling water hose
#1
Just a heads up. I had a clamped hose fly off the other day. Turns out that the hose, just under the fuel line to the cooler, was swelled and the pressure caused it to blow off. The swell was caused, most likely, by bad O rings in the fuel cooler, resulting in a tiny drip onto the water hose. According to my mechanic, it's a common problem, and one to watch out for.

What year, Make, and model engines are you running?

It sounds like a water restriction in your cooling system. When a hose swells up, that's a pretty good indication. When was the last time you had the heat exchangers and aftercoolers cleaned?

My mechanic advises replacing the black raw water hoses every six years or so, more often if signs of wear appear; you don't mention age, but aging could be a contributor to the failure.
