Soooooo, first full season with my ‘88 36’ convertible and finding the things that need to be fixed, repaired and/or upgraded. My main problem is my toilet. The electric head works as should, however once I turn the head on there is a constant motor running and my amphere gauge is continuously jumping until I turn the electric head off. I have replaced the flush ball seal which was leaking water into the holding tank. The new seal solved that problem however the pump still runs constantly. Now the issue. Wife sits on the toilet when the electric head is off and urine leaks out from the base/floor of toilet. Bad base seal or does the head need to be turned on all of the time. I don’t want to burn the motor out. With the motor constantly running and the toilet holding water is there some kind of leak somewhere else that I have to chase? Any help appreciated.
Thanks Jason
First, Fix the leak as misdirection said. If the pump still.ryns look on the tank and see if the vacuum switch is working. It is usually mounted on the vacuum canister or tank and has a rod that is pulled in as the vacuum is applied. Once it pulls in enough it cuts off the pump.
I tried to post a pic but the forum doesn't resize them and mine are to large.
