I have a 1998 31ft Tiara open with a electrical question. When I first enter the boat to turn on main breaker then helm 1 and then helm 2 the helm 2 breaker trips I reset it and it may trip again after that it stays on and doesnt trip again until it is shut off and we leave for a week . When I return to again turn on breakers the same thing repeats itself any ideas would be greatly appreciated to correct this.
May be some of the electronics are pulling some amps after being off for awhile and when all of them suddenly get power they pull a bit of a load for a second or two. It would be interesting to put a meter on it and see what kind of amp draw it initially gets.
If it doesn't momentarily pull close or over the rated amp draw then the breaker may be going bad.
My bet is on amp draw.
