Hello everybody I am new. I just purchased a 1993 3100 Tiara. I have a question if anybody can help me it would be much appreciated. What is notched in the middle of the keel?

 I just purchased a 1993 30 100 Tiara. I have a question if anybody can help me it would be much appreciated. What is notched in the middle of the keel?
