Looking for Help with Fuel Vent Issue - Tiara 2700 (1988)
#1
Hello Everyone,
Filling up my boat with gas is taking a LONG time.  I have to stop every half gallon and let the fuel go down before squeezing the nozzle again. I never heard of fuel vents before but I'm assuming that is the issue .. those two bolts on exterior of boat?  Is that where I should start first?

Are these difficult to replace/clean?  Also is there a hack or workaround to fill the boat up with gas to get me through the weekend until I can order parts and wrestle with this problem?

Thank you very much!

Max

I do not think there is a workaround other than to replacement fuel vent emission filter. It is likely clogged/ or filled with water.

Check the vent screens in the two fittings you circled in your picture. Likely packed full of spider webbing or something similar. Small needle nose pliers or tweezers may help pull some of the gunk out. Doubt that year Tiara has an in line vent filter but if so that would be next on the list to check.
No real safe short cuts.

Thanks guys ... I removed an access panel from the inside. Not a lot of room in there to do much. Appreciate your help!
