Not sure which models this is common to but I was changing the impeller on the stbd 454 crusader of my 3100 and when I reinstalled the pump i noticed the belt driving the pump rubs against the hose hose (and clamp) on the raw water intake line coming over from the seacock. There's even a bit of a groove in the hose where the belt has been rubbing it. I tried adjusting the hoses every way I could but couldn't resolve the interference. Is this a common issue? Anyone else noticed it?

The geometry of the port engine seems such that it isn't really an issue on the other side.

I'm wondering if I need to replace and re-route the water line? Seems like a problem in the making.
