I have a 2003 29 Open with a leaking fresh water system.  When the fresh water pressurizes, with all valves turned off, it leaks into the bilge.  I can't see when the leak is coming from via the access hole by the hot water heater / via the access port under the stairs in the cabin / via the fresh water line and connections in the engine compartment.  So I am left with wanting to get a full view of the container.  What is the best way?

I'm assuming you mean water tank...

Is there an access anywhere on the tank that you can insert a borescope?

If the leak only occurres when the system is pressurized then it is most likely not the tank. the FW pump draws from the tank and pressurized the system/lines so the tank is not pressurized at all. I've heard of owners sprinkling baking soda around the bilges. Leaking water will leave a trail through the soda and hopefully help Point to the source. There are also florescent dyes available at auto parts stores (some are visible with special glasses). Mix the dye into the tank, pressurize system for a while then look for the marked trail in the bilges . Good luck

Check the pressure relief valve on the hot water tank. I had a similar problem on a 35 Open that I owned. Couldn't find a leak and then found it to be the relief valve. Same thing just happened to a friend of mine's 35 open as well. No other leaks were found and the problem was fixed. It is a 1/2" pipe thread and 150psi valve. Good Luck Tom
