Same here.  Be careful to make sure you take the one you're cutting OUT of all the top layers first. Get all the way down to the foam before you cut. One of those layers might be a fiberglass "fire sock". If you cut into the fiberglass fabric, it'll start to unravel and you'll have one heck of an itchy, bad-for-your lungs mess on your hands.

Best to search the internet for a "fiberglass-free" mattress. Good luck and happy sleeping!

We just had a brand new mattress made for our 1999 3100 Open and it is a real mattress made to oder, not just that cheap cushion foam that came with the boat. We used [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] they were awesome to work with, affordable and fast considering all of the current supply chain issues going on globally due to Covid.

Highly recommened them.
