Tiara 2900 Coronet - Need to take out 1 Engine
#1
Hi

Unfortunatley I have "thrown a rod" in my Crusader 5.7 engine and now need to take it out of the boat to get worked on.

My question is, do I need to lift the and remove the whole cockpit to be able to lift the engine or if i remove all the seats from the cockpit, is there enough room to swing it up sufficiently to get the motor out. Just by looking at it, it appears possible. Is it built in a way to do this? If anyone with a similar boat has had to do this, I would appreciate your knowledge.

Hi

Thought I would post this for anyone who may need to do the same in the future.
Worked out that by removing the seats there was sufficient room (just) to remove the engine.
Would be able to get a bit more room if I removed the footrest but they are bolted on so would involve removing the control cover.
