I have a 38 Open 2003.  It has the standard dual a/c units for the cabin with the blower set-up for the helm seat.  I am curious to know if anyone has added a third unit for the helm specifically.  I believe I had seen them mounted under the helm seat, but I am not sure if this was a factory option or an owner add-on.  Curious to know how effective the unit is with hardtop and canvas?  Where the vent placement was done?  Did the pump need to be up sized? Were there any other issues that surprised you during the install?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!! Dan

I have 2 A/C units on my bridge. One is a 12k and the other is a 16k. In the heat of summer (In FL) they both work hard to keep it cool. Isenglass is not a very good thermal barrier and you get a lot of loss due to it.
Both of my units are under the rear seat. And operate off one pump.
