Looking to update the gauges in my 1995 Tiara. While looking there is a PC board made by Astro 17949001 which appears to be delivering incorrect readings to the gauges. Looking to replace this board but have not been able to source one. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the gauge on the 2900 open 1995?

I have a 1994 43 Open with the same circuit board behind the dash. Can I ask what symptoms you're seeing on your dash?

Currently I am getting a red warning light for what appears is the low battery voltage.
My battery voltage on the port engine "Volt Gauge" is showing 10.5 volts, but the alternator output voltage is 13.6 vdc and the batteries are new and reading 13.6 vdc.

I am getting low voltage on the starboard engine as well. My guess is both these gauges are no good.

After a lot of research I am pretty sure that these two boards are for the LED's and audible alarm for battery voltage, oil pressure and engine temp.


I need to either replace the battery monitoring system or upgrade the entire system to a nmea2000 digital monitoring system.

I have been digging into this but there seems to be a lot of rewiring done beneath the gauge panel prior to me purchasing this. Let me know if I can assist or if I am totally incorrect.

When I first purchased my Tiara on the starboard engine I received the audible alarm and the light on the dash and the pressure was low but I wasn't getting any engine tic so I wasn't concerned that the pressure wasn't too low. Crusader 7.4's

I replaced the oil pressure sender and this cleared up. To be sure I teed off the port and installed a manual gauge to compare just to be safe. This issue was solved.
After digging around under the dash I did notice that the starboard Astro board was new.

My port engine is giving me a battery alarm and the gauges on both engines show low battery voltage. The Astro board on the port engine is old but I need to did  in there a little more and start hunting down a possible bad ground which I think is causing the bad reading on both gauges. The problem in south Florida way to hot to sit outside and play around with a meter in the engine compartment.

Like you said in your post I also believe the the alarm board is being triggered by the VDO gauge. I would put the manual gauge as my first step. Because you said that it is starting to happen on the other engine I started changing the way I was thinking.

Purchase the manual gauges and put them on both engines and leave them there..... forever. It is always a great, quick check when you are feeling uncomfortable.

If those manual gauges are not matching the VDO gauge then you may have your answer and may solve this issue with replacing a couple of oil pressure gauges which will become very unreliable over time.

Did you ever have luck sourcing a new circuit board from Astro? I haven't been able to find so much as a spec sheet, photo or website about it/them.
