I live in southern California and boat out of Dana Point Marina.  I am looking at both a 2005 3200 Express and a 3200 Open of the same year.  I would love to have some feedback from owners of both in terms of why they choose either model over the other one.  Thank you in advance for your comments.

It gets a little confusing, but Tiara never made a boat with the model designation '32 Express'. Now, they did make a 32 Open, and the 32 Open, like all Tiara Opens, is an express style boat. That's the part that is confusing. Tiara did make some boats with the word Express in the model name, examples would be the 35 Express and the 40 Express. These are also express style boats, but in Tiara-speak, when they added Express to the official model name, it indicated that the boat was set up more for cruising than fishing.

The reason you may be seeing a '32 Express' listed for sale is that the brokers don't know what they're talking about and, admittedly, Tiara's naming convention was confusing as their Open models were all express style boats, so it is somewhat understandable why a broker would call a 32 Open a 32 Express. Hopefully this all made sense lol

I have a 2004 35 Open that would like to sell. In Tacoma Washington. Great boat, we liked the open over the Express for the fishing and shrimping. The cockpit open instead of the party boat of the express.

I looked at the 32 Open, and before you buy, do yourself a favor and see how you fit in the engine room to do routine maintenance. It seems like the 4 foot difference between the 32 and the 36 was added in the back 2 feet of cabin and 2 feet in the engine room. We ultimately purchased a 2007 3600 Open, and love the boat. I don’t see much difference in the price between the two models and really love the extra 4 feet of length. All depends of course on how you plan on using it. Initial price and maintenance expense wise, not much different in the two. Just check them all out. Good a luck with your search,
