I have a 1998 Tiara 3100 Open kept on a lift in the Charleston area, and I mostly single-hand during summer evenings. My electronics project this season is wiring a small inverter and a dedicated charging spot in the cockpit for a cordless pool cleaner — I've seen the iGarden K36 mentioned online as one option, but I haven't used it or any robot of this kind. The appeal is that it runs on its own battery and doesn't need an AC outlet on the dock, which suits my setup. The concern is whether a pool-oriented unit is practical for a boat cockpit and washdown areas, and whether it survives salt air and spray over a season. Charging current and battery life are also unknowns. Has anyone tried a cordless cleaner for their deck and cockpit, or does a simple hose and brush still make more sense?
