Does anyone happen to know what the best prop selection is for a 1988 36 convertible? I currently have 18x19 3 blade dyna jets. I cruise at 18mph and running about 3100rpms with a .8mpg. Looking to see what others use for better performance or suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
That's about the best we could do with the old carbureted 454's. We now have 8.1 Crusader Captains Choice MPI's and cruise at 22-24, top out in the mid 30's and burn MUCH less fuel. Maybe 30 % less. It's been a while since I did some testing but I can't believe the difference. And they start just like a modern car. Capt. george
