New proposed standards available for download
The Coast Guard’s National On-Water Standards grant management team and the American Boat and Yacht Council approved and published the first of three proposed skills-based American national standards for on-water instruction, called the EDU-1 On-Water Power Standard. Course designers using the EDU-1 standard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators’ standard ANSI/NASBLA 103-2016:
