I just purchased a 2004 3600 Sovran.  When I got the boat both tanks were showing full on the gauges. I’ve been running it for about a week or so and ran the starboard tank to about half. I thought maybe the fuel gauge was not working on the port side. I went to fill up today and the port tank is still full. It looks like both engines are only pulling fuel from the starboard tank. When I look in the transom it looks like all of the fuel valves are open in the same position. Anybody have any ideas could my valves just not be in the correct position or is there a recommended fix.

If all the valves are in the same position then you are probably (obviously) only feeding from one tank.i keep my valves where each engine pulls from separate tanks. Do you have a pic of the valve setup?

Are both pictures from the same tank??? If it is you should have a fuel selection panel somewhere. On my 38 Open its located in the engine room. It allows you to select which tank (port or starboard) fuel is taken for each engine. Remember diesels have return fuel lines as well as supply lines. Also there is a supply fuel line going to the generator. On my 38 Open the generator gets its fuel from the starboard tank and cannot be switched to the port tank. The pictures you posted are the valves located near the tank I believe and can be shut off should maintenance be required on the fuel line itself.. Just guessing.. M2C

Thank you for your help. I found the switch panel for the fuel tanks in the engine compartment. They were both set to pull from one tank. Now I just need to see if the gauge goes down on both tanks.
